About Me
I struggle with ‘ABOUT ME’. I always have.
I received my first diary when I was 9 years old—purple with neon pink 90’s theme. It was the real deal.
But instead of filling the pages about me (crushes? quarrels? dramatic dilemmas?), I filled the pages with stories. Of a 9-year-old girl. Like me.
Because I’ve always found it more gratifying to tell other people’s stories. Their thoughts, their emotions, the intricate interweaving of desire and despair. Telling a good story requires relentless, unwavering empathy; you need to become your character—mind and heart.
Dramatic? Yes. But also true.
Now, as a copywriter for small businesses, I still tell other people’s stories. As Seth Godin, a marketing expert, said, “People do not buy goods and services. They buy relationships, stories and magic.” I write to give voice to your vision, to craft a personality for your passions. And I write to build a community for your customers. With relentless empathy…and a little ‘Wingardium Leviosa’ added for good measure, I write for you.
So here I am, in my own “About Me” section, thinking of you. As it should be.
The proof is in the pudding…
Or diary…
